Frequently Asked Questions
At Buffalo Performance Physio, we take time to get know every client individually. What are your goals and values? Where are you starting from and where do you hope to go? Why is it important that you get there? By spending more time with patients and digging into the root cause of your problem, we are able to provide more hope and long-term solutions for these problems. This typically creates faster and longer lasting results.
The short answer is no. We are an out of network provider. Although most of our patients and clients pay cash for our services, we can provide you with a “superbill” upon request that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some insurances may even reimburse 50-80% of the cost of treatment.
Insurance reimbursements for physical therapy currently force most companies to co-treat multiple patients at once and also denies many performance-based treatments. We believe that you deserve better and that it is wrong to allow an insurance company to dictate more of your treatment plan than your Doctor or Physical Therapist.
If you have Medicare and are seeking physical therapy services, then we would be happy to assist you with finding a good in-network provider to work with you. Medicare has stricter rules/regulations which prohibit us at this time from treating patient’s with Medicare insurance. If you wish to work with us on a performance basis (something your insurance wouldn’t cover) then we may be able to work with you there. Schedule a phone call with a physical therapist to see what we can do for you.
You should wear loose-fitting athletic wear. You want to be able to move freely and work out, but also allow access to your problem area to skin so that necessary assessments/treatments may be provided. Closed-toe athletic shoes are also a must. In the Winter months, please bring an extra pair of shoes with you to reduce tracking of salt/snow into the gym and treatment area.
